As someone who went to high school around the early 2010s, I'd argue that smartphones themselves aren't inherently bad or destructive. It's more of a double-edged sword in that it provides a lot of nice conveniences while it unfortunately also brought in a lot of normietards to ruined the internet when it was once a wild wild west.
Apparently, Kodansha has been pathetically cucking out even harder than Crunchyroll and the west in general.
Any smart and competent game dev would immediately jump the sinking ship that is the current year game industry. As long as the industry is still infested with braindead activists and boomer bean counters, this dumpster fire industry will only continue to get worse for both the consumers and people trying to make game development their careers.
The game industry is sadly just one of the very worst tech career fields for any aspiring software dev to enter.
