They actually tried to argue that "state capitalism" is a thing. No no its not. You literally can not have a state with pure capitalism. Just like socialism can not have any markets. These are ideological opposed. You can have mixed economies but then you are neither.
Capitalism is defined by markets driving the economy without manipulation from government.
Socialism is defind by governments being in complete control over the economy.
You can not have by definition an economy where government has some control over I and call it capitalism. Thats just not a thing. Kinda like how i will not call chinas economy socialism, its damn close but its not pure socialism.
