[Veterans]

First off happy veterans day to you brothers that have served. The call to war and you managed to make it back in either one piece or as many as you were able to.

Nowadays we have seen where those that serve are easily shitcanned, tossed aside and belittled to the point of mental instability or inevitably suicide.

It's easy to see why guys like popp, joker, RPM and others are constantly telling men to stay away from the branches because when government sends you off to fight and die for special interests without mostly a care for your comeback and to Pay up, it doesn't exactly reflect good on them.

As I was picking up on some of my Shittube subs i was listening to some videos about veteran topics and one was the personal sacrifice of veterans from simple history.

It reminded me how mostly through out history, soldiers were revered and honored, from the stone and bronze age, to the medieval times all the way up to Even 19th century. Soldiers/ warriors were seen as their own class, separate from civilians and capable to lead and fight, often why soldiers also found themselves dabbling in politics but that's a convo for another topic.

There was a sense of honor and respect brought to soldiers and warriors because they were strong men sent to fight, and those that survived earned the veteran status and would see ranks of their status and duration of service.

We had started seeing the change of opinion a lot in the 20th century.

Where the culling events of said strong men came around in the first half of the 20th century, and the men of the time thought they were fighting for freedom and the security of the world. We would see the change of the mentality of those in charge and public opinion at the efforts of containment of communism.

Korea, Vietnam, the gulf, Afghanistan, a lot of conflicts unnamed and unknown that had seen intervention and that had turned public support of veterans into demonization, particularly Vietnam.

As we have learned how a lot of wars over the past 60 years had mainly been self interest or wasted efforts, it is the men that answered the call that had taken the brunt of abuse when returned, if they returned alive.

They would return to the abuse of the masses, the government mostly giving them the finger and either refusing or minimally paying out for the sacrifices, not to mention the bastardization of the forces over the past 10 years, prioritizing politics and DEI where there should be showcases of strength and force. It's why the Emma and her Two moms ad for the army was a joke when you saw the Chinese and Russian ads. Stoicism and discipline they demonstrated while with Emma the US advertised ghey acceptance and diversity!!

A lot can be said in an ad. It's why we have seen plenty turning brands into poison. An armed forces ad, like said two is supposed to promote discipline, stoicism, honor and direction to the lost.

A lack of those shows weakness and Emma's two moms showed plenty about the direction the armed forces were going, it's why there was a dryspell of recruitments and fear of a lack of manpower signing up to be cannonfodder. It's also why the mandarin and Hegseth (think it was him) that campaigned and were talking about bringing the Military back up to standard.

When you have nepotism and diversity awards handed out for no goddamn reason, and standards at an all time low, it is a recipe for opposing forces to consider steamrolling you.

Sure the US is still a military powerhouse with the tech it has, but who's to say how long that can last or could've the direction it was headed. Trump may be able to secure the forces over the next 3 years but who's to say after? Unless the standards are secured indefinitely and can not be altered there is no security of the armed forces. It can and will be subject to change when the powers at be can change each term.

It's why a lot of men's mentality towards joining and those that are in isn't exactly there. It's why even guys like popp preach to men not to join, because a lot of the efforts will and is for naught.

Getting back, veterans day as it should be, is a day that's supposed to honor the vets that answered the call. Dead or still living, you brothers do deserved that at least, without the vitriol and hate from those that would not even lift a God damn finger while condemn you guys for doing something, be it for nationalism or direction.

The one thing I do regret not asking my grandfather when he was still alive was some of his stories he had when he was in Korea.
