A construction crew thought it would be hilarious to cut my internet cables (after coming out here 3 separate times to verify where they were all buried), so looks like I won't be streaming tonight unless some miracle happens!
No one I know in meat space is a code monkey, no one I could ask about programming, but I have installed Linux Mint on an old computer and got the OS working...... no wi-fi.
Old PC has Wi-fi built in, but Mint doesn't acknowledge it, borrowed an ethernet cable to update drivers, that all worked, still doesn't see Wi-Fi. Tried USB Wi-Fi .... doesn't have Linux download. I understood I'd hit lot of problems that will be learning lessons doing this. Just didn't think that be the first thing.
Some specs, this PC has an Intel i3 - 4170, 6GB ram, no Graphics card (wouldn't fit in case) It is a PC I got from Walmart about 12 years ago. I've only kept is so far cause couldn't find a proper place to dispose of it so decided to put it to some use.
and speaking of mint
